VillGro Farms Producer Company Limited is established in in the year 2015. VillGro FPC is a profit organization and registered under Companies Act, 1956 (Producer Company under section 581A in Part IXA of the Company Act 1956, as referred to under section 456 of the companies Act, 2013)
VILLGRO is the brand name of our company. The word VILLGRO is a combination of Village & Growth. It means growth of villages, in-short growth of farmers. The name stands for food for everyone’s heart that is the pure quality and safe products that best suitable for everybody. This brand’s motto is to production, Collection & supply best quality spices, organically produced fruits, vegetables, poultry and dairy products, buying them direct from the farmers offering them maximum profit and selling to whole sale and retail stores at a reasonable price.
VILLGRO was pioneered by a group of young professionals & farmers, all of whom were inspired by the conviction that individuals with knowledge resources and compassion for the marginalized must work with communities at the grassroots in order to help them overcome poverty and enhance their socio-economic condition. This led to incorporation of VillGro Farms Producer Company Limited on 3rd November, 2015 under Register of Companies, Pune.
The VILLGRO FPC working directly with farmer to help mitigate the difficulty of farmers through Institutional Development services, capacity building services, system and process integration, technical training dissemination, financial intermediation, Market linkage development, policy advocacy and facilitating social security and economic development.
Towards the governance of VILLGRO FPC, the General body consist of 10 Members represented by one representative per Village. There are Six Board of Directors (BODs) elected from the General Body for management control. A Management Team from multi-disciplinary background supports the BOD, in taking business decisions and conducting day to day business.
The new concept of ‘producer Company’, to indicate that only certain categories of persons can participate in the ownership of such companies. The members have necessarily to be 'primary producers,' that is, persons engaged in an activity connected with, or related to, primary produce.
